    All this talk of "integration" when all these "silos" are operating - makes it a dream!! We need to digitally transform - i.e. integrate via the data layer to make it more efficient and effective.

      Thank you for your comment. You make a good point, and that is precisely what Armatec Global's core platform does.

    Roanne Monte makes a lot of sense. Sad that the industry still works in silos - with each technology silo wanting to keep independent as a technology. No one has raised the digital transformation of the industry because to reach there the industry will need to "digitise" their offerings and produce "data" which leads to the ability to analyse, make decisions and predict the future trend.

    Dear SLED, so the bunnings cashier is exempt, but what about the bunnings sale people selling/advising/ordering/specifying all the NON-household locks... and I quote from bunnings website... "Lockwood door range has evolved as the product of choice the the leading Australian architects in commercial, institutional and industrial applications." And why do the locksmiths working at Lockwood that are assembling client-specific restricted locks and keys not require a licence? They are doing exactly what we do. You people astound me, we should expect to be treated equally, not by lobbying power. No wonder we are all going broke, we have to cover our licensing and administration costs, whilst you turn a blind eye to the corporations that fund your elections.

    The Rule of Law, our framework for law and order, which you people claim to know so much about, states that everyone is equal under the law, so exempting corporations simply because you choose to, is in direct violation of our constitution. I have been operating as a locksmith for the past 12 years without a licence. I sent a letter to the Security Industry Registry (SIR) as you were known back then, attn to the Registrar, Cameron Smith (is he still there?), explaining why your agenda was hypocritical and pointless, and enclosed my licence saying I wasn't participating in your crap anymore. I followed up with another few letters but not once did Mr Smith reply. I did cc the letters to other desks, and I did receive a reply from the Minister for Police Secretary, Miss Angela DeMore, remember her, she was incarcerated for fraud. SLED knows im unlicensed and still operating, but you won't take me to court because you know you'll lose and have to repay everyone's licence fees and lose your jobs. You people work for us, not the other way around. Stop sitting in your offices dreaming up ways to take money off the people that provide actual services that keep the economy ticking. Go and get real jobs and stop being a burden on everyone else. I've got screenshots of these comments, so when you turn them off I will take that as admission of guilt, and maybe a class action will follow.

    Why is NBN Co full of Ex-Telstra employees?

  • @u305840

    In regards to the 18 month copper disconnect period once declared NBN is ready... Just say there is an NBN issue in general providing service to a particular premises and it took 12 months for NBN to rectify the issue, does the 18 month start from the time the issue was rectified or the beginning (meaning the would only have 8 months before copper disconnection)?

    • @Knightyme
      @Knightyme 6 лет назад

      18 months from when NBN is declared active, so in you example when you posted that would (have been) be 6 months to go before the copper network is decommissioned.

    Have you seen how many subcontractor in the security industry out there incompetent in providing training to those who need it, not paying proper wages to their own personal and all cash $$$$ off the book. Example: lets say, security Officer (SO) hired by subcontractor holding a valid Master licence but the SO is working for XYZ shop store but unfortunately the shop store doesn't have A Master Licence? does the shop store owner must have A Master licence because we know that the Security Officer Provide service to the shop owner on daily basis? I would love to see some change in regard to the Citizen arrests: A citizen's arrest is an arrest made by a person who is not acting as a sworn law-enforcement official. In common law jurisdictions, the practice dates back to medieval England and the English common law, in which sheriffs encouraged ordinary citizens to help apprehend law breakers. " I would like to see something different to the Citizen arrests under Security Industry ACT to give more power to the security Officer to conduct a Citizen arrests under different act."
